Dallas Is the New L.A.: Chase and Lonestar Will Shoot Here. And, Bonus Good Guys Episodes!

| Bradley, if yer sticking 'round through the summer, I sure hope that Trans Am has a good air conditioner. |
And while the networks won't confirm nothing till next week -- press releases start going out at 7:30 a.m. Monday -- we are sure of a few things. Like, Chase and Lonestar will indeed shoot in Dallas-Fort Worth. So says Dallas Film Commissioner Janis Burklund on her Facebook page: "Both picked up, both coming to DFW." She doesn't say when, but you can expect cameras to get rolling most likely beginning in July, when series normally start shooting for their fall bows.
Burklund, celebrating a "GREAT DAY!!!" for the local moving-pitcher bidness, also spills the beans on something that should become official on Monday: The Good Guys, which debuts on Wednesday night on FOX, won't wrap in July after all. The buddy-cop comedy starring Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks -- which, if the pilot's any indication, is kinda good -- was supposed to shoot here for only 13 episodes. That has changed: Apparently, FOX execs like the show so much they've added another seven eps on top of the initial order.
In other words: Busiest. Summer. Ever.
