Says Mayor, Thanks to UNT Dallas Is Finally About to Become a College Town

• Boston U a "non-campus." You've never been to Boston U. Great School. And there are no plans to for UNT to be on the other side of HSR.You people are so pessimistic.

• @Dallasm As well as the for-profit colleges and technical schools like Art Institute, Devry, ITT, and so on. There's also Dallas Theological Seminary, if your kids want to professionally tell about people about Jesus.

• Yes, when I see Houston School Rd, I can't help but recall Commonwealth Avenue. Hopefully, if they develop streetcars there, they run more reliably than the damn B-Line (the green streetcars in the video). At least UNTD probably has a better national reputation than Boston "University" (the non-campus you see on the video). That being said, I wish them well.

• So when my kids graduate they will have a local choice of Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas, Dallas, Dallas Baptist University, University of Dallas, Texas Woman's University, Texas Wesleyan University, and soon University of North Texas in Dallas. Did I miss any? Well, the more the better. And hopefully this will bring some much needed economic support to Far South Dallas. Then again, my kids will probably end up wanting to go to Oregon or something.

• Let's see, the director, shooter, editor is from Midlothian. The talent was booked out of Waxahatchie, the audio recording facility was in Oklahoma, the architectural renderings were from a firm in San Antonio... I hope the University itself is more of a boon for the Dallas economy than this video was.

• In your first sentence, I think you meant U of NORTH Texas at Dallas. Between UT, UNT, UTD, and now UNTD, it's all very confusing.
