Not making that up -- the press release that just landed in the Unfair Park in-box follows. But long story short: The Genesis singer-drummer is a ginormous Alamo fetishist -- so much so that "he is now believed to own the largest collection of Alamo artifacts in the world," according to the Dallas Historical Society. He's coming to Texas to finish work on his book about the Alamo due in stores next year -- and so, on May 10 at 6:30 p.m., he'll be at Hall of State to talk about, well, the Alamo (as well as his career). And he'll do it with Lindalyn Adams (past president of the DHS) and ... Angus Wynne?

"Yes, he requested me," Angus said when I called to confirm. Really? "No, he did not."

Tickets are $35 for DHS members and $50 for non-members -- and, per the release, "a very limited number of VIP tickets at $150 are available that also include a reception with Phil Collins after the program." Get 'em here, but do hustle: The lecture hall at the Hall of State only holds 400.

Bonus: This isn't a for-your-weekend-listening-pleasure, just a flashback to a post from a few months ago -- Genesis at Moody Coliseum in 1977. And the lamb ... lies down ... on Broadway! Phil Collins 5.3.10
