Ya know, before
Pete came along, I was doing a fine job of writing about
St. Vincent all by my lonesome. So, don't tell, but a Friend of Unfair Park sends along
these MP3s featuring Annie Clark and Bon Iver performing at Saturday night's Haiti benefit concert at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg. They covered a trio of tracks: Neil Young's "Harvest Moon," Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and The National's "Mistaken for Strangers." And while all are decidedly audience-recording rough, the latter's an especially beautiful rendition. Still, before you listen, keep in mind: This
was a Haiti benefit, so you might wanna
pay before you play.
