• So has Nebraska been incapable of passing all season, or just this game? Defense sure seems easier when the opposing team just runs a couple of yards and falls down. I just hope for UT's sake that Alabama's defense sucks, or UTs in for a good ol' fashion whuppun.

• Dr. D, beloved pediatrician of both my offspring, is quite correct in most respects. However, orange-bloods have every right to feel pride in the defense's performance against Nebraska. Sure, they were just doing what they were supposed to do, but then that's the point, right?

• I was transfixed by the giant screen, watching myself run, Chariots of Fire-style to the sideline, lofting when I should've been firing, ticking away the moments that make up an exciting game, frittering away the hours of practice in an inexplicably offhand way. Ooh, what I lucky man I was.

• It was the wife and I's first trip to the deathstar, and we were both assaulted by the video screen...we were down in 143 and if you tried to look toward the other endzone..your head just couldn't do it..it was drawn towards the damn screen..I re-watched the game last night..I don't see why anyone would cry about either teams effort...thought it was an awesome performance by both Huskers and Horns.

• Actually, Longhorns smell like Pasadena roses. From my seat, I just heard my wife yelling at Greg Davis. At the end I heard her say, "Every girl on the UT campus needs to give Hunter Lawrence some love next week". I should have been a kicker...

• UT graduates smell like Parmesan cheese.

• You're an odd duck, Wilonsky. A media guy who actually pays his own way into a sporting event. You should have used a media credential to get in for free like The Ticket clowns do. Or you could have hosted a watch party at a sports bar and collect a generous talent fee on top of an already healthy salary. I'm talking about the so-called radio talent again. Good on you actually. Texas Exes <i>are</i> a cut above.
