Aside from that unsolicited non sequitur intended to illustrate Americans' lack of faith in the judicial system, Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins's tête-à-tête with Stephen Colbert last night was notable only for how relatively straight it played. Colbert tried to draw Watkins offside early with a comment about his not looking like your average Texas district attorney (no, um, cowboy hat). But save for a jab at county commissioners only locals would notice (concerning the recent skirmish over "resources"), the D.A. with the DNA stayed on point by promoting his office's innocence project. In short, he told the Colbert Nation, in Dallas County, the innocent are freed; the guilty, punished. And ... scene.
BJC says:
Most Black people think OJ is guilty.We were not on the jury.
Really, 75% of the O.J. jury was Black. Kind of like 96% of black folks voted for obama, but deny racist voting.
Oh yeah? Well if Watkins is soooooooo good then why isn't MY neighbor in jail?
<sarcasm off>
Mr. Watkins represented us well. And he's doing a great job as a DA. He's a DA we can be proud of, despite the little things here and there that people pick at him over.
Most Black people think OJ is guilty.We were not on the jury.Also OJ never meant anything to Black folk ,he was always in the White culture.When OJ became famous he turned his back on his race and never returned we don't give a d-- about OJ.
"...the guilty, punished." Unless, of course, they are Democrat constables driving cars the don't own and working a auto towing scam in south Dallas. Then...not so much. Hell, maybe they earned the right to drive those cars....
Wow, people are STILL talking about OJ!
Seems like a reasonable enough guy.
But the glove did not fit! And the <i>Real KillersTM</i> may still be out on the golf course!!
Wow, a Black public official willing to admit O.J. is guilty!
