Was there a few hours ago. Have the free dark chocolate M&M's to prove it.
It looks like it'll be nice. Opens up a great space in that part of town. Really highlights that beautiful modern hotel that someone needs to do something with.
What in heck are those green structures along Main. The half-enclosed things w/ the blinky lights?
Posted On: Saturday, Nov. 21 2009 @ 8:09PMwhat's my excuse? I check this blog and DC9 to see what's going on, where is it?
I could have used some Zep.
We were there in the late afternoon - very nice - looks like the workers could have used another month or so to really wrap it up without people in it.
I hope that it get a lot of use and care.
Posted On: Sunday, Nov. 22 2009 @ 12:23AMI was there. Looks like it's going to be a really nice part. But I have to ask, what dumb ass decided to make the dog run concrete (or technically slate) as opposed to grass?
Posted On: Sunday, Nov. 22 2009 @ 12:43AMThe park is a great addition to downtown. Unique children's playground area my kids loved. Also, check out the Neiman Marcus holiday windows just a block away. Most creative display I've seen. (We spent several years in nyc, where my wife saw some very impressive displays at Bergdorf and Barney's--this one ups them.) Top it off with a dinner at Campisi's or some other deserving local restaurant.
Posted On: Sunday, Nov. 22 2009 @ 1:07PMThrift Store Cowboys should have been the headliners.
Posted On: Sunday, Nov. 22 2009 @ 3:45PMBecause....it's easier to hose dog shit off of slate than to wipe it off grass?
Posted On: Sunday, Nov. 22 2009 @ 6:59PMWe drove by. It looked...corporate. So we went to the All Good Cafe.
Posted On: Sunday, Nov. 22 2009 @ 10:14PM@ John M: Those green structures are small garden shelters that will have tables and chairs under them (which haven't been set out yet). They have motion sensors so that when you sit/stand under them the area lights up.
@ Justin: the dog run is concrete so that it can easily be hosed down, since many people don't clean up after their pets. If you want a grassy dog park, walk a few blocks to Bark Park Central.
Posted On: Monday, Nov. 23 2009 @ 10:34AMSo what did the flower pots look like? They did have some correct? It would be a travesty if they didn't have flower pots for both vistors and the homeless that would call the park home.
