​The director of Clerks and Chasing Amy was in town over the weekend, doing one of his evening-withs at the House of Blues. One local in attendance shot a good hunk of the show, including a bit during which Smith addresses, among other things, why he can't get Red State made -- a very interesting bit of inside baseball. Then, toward the end, Smith takes the audience member's cell phone to talk to a buddy who couldn't make the show due to an H1N1 diagnosis, which Smith verifies by asking him a question that indicates he's clearly not a medical professional.
