Have The Who or Cher had more farewell tours?

Chris, nobody loves the I-was-there story more than I. Bring it. Me, I remember thinking, "Why couldn't I have seen the band with Keith Moon?" Sorry, Kenney Jones.

I was there, worked security for the ticket sale at Texas Stadium. KZEW sponsored the concert and part of the money went to the Dallas Zoo. Had the KZEW shirt that said "The Who Plays For The Zoo In Dallas". Billy Squire opened and had the Cowboys Cheerleaders on stage dancing to The Stroke.

My date was a girl from England named Jillian and neither one of us wore a jacket which wasn't a problem until The Who took the stage. Then it got cold, we got stoned and didn't care.

I think the guitarist and singer from the Who should join up with the drummer and bass player for the Beatles.

Just sayin'.

Didn't make Cotton Bowl '82 (wasn't old enough to attend concerts, and the fact that I made it to my the-local show in Houston was a true miracle.)
I *did* see Cotton Bowl in '89.
Had spent year "studying abroad" in London and beat a path back to Texas when I realized The Who ware going back on tour the U.S.
Haven't meissed a Dallas or Houston show since them.

Fun show and my first "real" concert. I will never, however, get over the opening act. Dallas got Billy Squire, much of the rest of the country got the only band that mattered, the might Clash.
