​About a month ago we showed off 2005 Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne's model for the $185-million Perot Museum of Nature & Science at Victory Park, scheduled to open in September 2013. But it's never too early for the Dallas City Council to get a sneak peek at the landscape plan for the facility, which will come complete with a plinth roof covered in native grasses and rocks. The slide show's a bit bare bones, but it does give you some idea of what the place will look like -- which is to say, an urbanized blackland prairie ... or, Life After People.

Should be fine, if we can easily scrap it all off after it dries up, blows away, or otherwise dies. The soil depth they show is too shallow for most trees and prairie plants.
