The Bridge On the Lane Mockingbird

• Manuel proposed the best idea so far. Its been done in other cities, allowing "permitted" painting of images, id like to see something of that nature occure, it would be a change to whats already over in that area...

• It's ugly. Make it simpler, and allow local 'sanctioned' graffiti artist to litter is with aesthetically pleasing art along it's exterior.

• Looks like that fallopian tube thing from "Aliens". Bring plenty of windex.

• Uh, what does a countdown crossing signal cost? If you want to go to Mockingbird Station, walk or ride to Mockingbird Station.... Good LORD this thing will be huge AND ugly.

• I like it: a bubble from The Bubble. Of course, I thought it was a mistake to remove the last bridge over Central but whaddoIknow? Does this thing HAVE to have rails or cover; I see opportunities.

• I think that bridge as proposed is hideous.

• Wick, dont you have some plastic surgeons/cosmetic dentists you need to hustle for ad space for the Best Of Dallas issue or a meeting with the DCC on ongoing attempts to run our fair city from your hidden park cities lair?? ;) I look at it this way, i'm all for pedestrian bridges, especially on that stretch of Mockingbird. I think the issue w/ Dallas is, we're known for big and gaudy, its a stereotype that we should maybe try to live down. Make the bridge nice, but don't over-do the structure...

• I hope you join DM in our latest project to move the city forward. It is important that the world sees Dallas crossing over the obstacles of life in a fashionable way. Other cities have relegated themselves to traversing over such barriers on little more than rickety planks. Many times they wind up feeling worse about themselves after crossing on such a bridge. But thanks to our important established leadership, a great path choice has been made for you. -W

• Very pretty, but if it was simpler would it be cheaper? If the Calatrava bridges don't get built over the Trinity, may be we can use the money to build a simple suspension bridge over Central. LOL.

• At this pace, we'll have all 3 Calatrava bridges done before we get the Katy Trail over Central Expressway.
