Oprah turned up in the crowd Monday morning in this slimming cardboard number, hoisted by the good people of Stolen Oprah.

After holding court around the fairgrounds on Sunday, Oprah turned out for her show's taping this morning in her Stetson, boots and blue jeans, dropping "y'all's" and oozing countrified charm for hundreds of devoted fans.

The crowd filled the area before the Chevrolet Main Stage at the State Fair of Texas out onto the Midway, to hear Oprah spin a few yarns about her weekend at the fair, announce the winner of her baking contest, and catch a performance from Martina McBride.

Joined onstage by O editor Gayle King and design maven Nate Berkus, Oprah recalled her weekend of junk food -- including a story about the "corn doggies" that roused her back awake at 4 a.m., thanks. "Gayle and I have eaten our way through the State Fair," she said. "I think I'm in a food coma."

Between her mock drawl and cowboy hat, Oprah played up the Texas stereotypes for her national TV audience. Not that these folks seemed to mind.

Oh gag...I don't know why some people (who aren't from around here) feel the need to deck themselves out in full cowboy attire and adopt the pseudo-Southern drawl. It's less flattering and, if anything, it's insulting in a way. Despite this being Texas, not everyone from this state wears a cowboy hat and boots and speaks with a distinct accent. By doing pretty much what it appears that Oprah was guilty of, you end up sticking out far worse than you would have otherwise.
