And besides, the trinity pkwy being under water is not the concern. The big issue is what would be under water "outside" of the levees when it all goes to hell in a sand bag.
Would the trinity parkway be under water? How the &@# would the dmn know if it would or not since design work is on hold until thirty mil$ study is done?
Never mind says the DMN. Santiago Calatrava is coming to town to celebrate construction on his signature bridge.
If you dig through the story buried in the METRO section, DMN actually acknowledges it might be a "bridge to nowhere."

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. . .
"Just Intervene". I get it.... Nice photos by the way.
That Sylvan boat ramp shot looks the same as it did 40 years ago. Thank goodness the road was passable back in the early 70's when I used to go get gas in Irving at an old Fina station during the "long lines" gas crunch. For some reason this station never ran out of gas. Or maybe it was because I was driving an old VW and paid only $2.50 to fill up the tank.
I'm surprised the camera at the MHH bridge is not having "technical malfunctions" like the last monsoon. "I was [not] comfortable with that [explanation]."
