How 'Bout Them Cowboys Tickets?

• You can't do much about the food prices, but there's a bunch of great parking over on Abrams Street behind Arlington City Hall for only $20 with a free shuttle. I parked there for the OU - BYU game and it was great, not to mention I didn't have to sit in gridlock in the stadium lots. By the way I booked it online at parkwhiz.com.

• Does the FCI take into account the cost of a PSL? It sure doesn't. Let's see, at 50K a pop for 4 seats is 200K over 30 years. So that's 240 games so it's another 200 bucks per seat. So you want the cheaper seats? That's 16K (for the sake of argument) and that's a bit over 60 bucks per ticket. So the study notes it doesn't include it but it's not much help as the average fan won't get the money back. I'll stick to watching it from a bar. Costs: Iced tea: 2 bucks Food: 12 bucks Tip: 5 bucks Added bonus! Watching multiple games as long as I want: Priceless considering the Cowflops suck. I'm surprised nobody suggested that Jerry-Aid be provided free.

• It's getting very expensive keeping up with the Joneses. Do ya think that $9 dollars is too much for a 16 oz plastic bottle of beer?

• I had Saints season tickets in the mid-80's. These were Loge seats on the 30-yard line. Face amount - $18.

• Just the parking cost alone makes me sick. Will. Never. Set. Foot. In. JerryWorld. Unless i get free tix or something....

• Add drive time from McKinney to Arlington, tollway charges and the outrageous parking fees for all. We used to have season tickets. Then we watched from the corporate box. Now retired, we will watch on Flat Screen HD, never the stadium! Beautiful picture!!

• All this expense just reinforces the Cowboys' prurient interest in being a divisive national team of interest, like the Yankees, rather than a beloved local team. The Cowboys may indeed be America's Team, but they mean less and less to DFW.

• Piss and moan.

• The Big Guy just scored 2 rangers playoff tickets for game one! The Big Guy loves the Old School Brother

• I'm going to the game on the 20th and all it's going to cost me is the $36 my ticket cost after fees and whatever my small share of parking between the 5 of us that go will be, probably another $5-10. I won't be buying any food, drinks, beer, etc inside the stadium because there's no need too; you can easily take care of that before the game.

• I hope the market drives prices down, but I will still probably never go to a game in person...it's too much of a beating. This stadium represents a lot of what is wrong with America. This Over-The-Top, More-Bigger-Better stadium is completely out of touch with reality and completely unnecessary. Corporations, wealthy, and a select few middle-income people that are poor at managing their money and/or sacrificing a lot to see the game (middle-income people that, by the way, will need about 6 beers that they can't afford to forget that fact and actually enjoy the game) are the only people that are going to be in this stadium. A cold and stale game-day environment will ensue, much like the cold and stale environment of our suburbs. Great work, Jerry! I hope you make more money. I'm sure you can buy happiness with it, much like you bought a new face. Don't give your money to Steven when you die, take it down to your grave...I'm sure it can buy happiness there too. Your overpriced stadium is a much more important legacy than, say, the memory of a dad taking his wife and two kids to a football game without having the thought in the back of his mind that he completely can't afford it. Go Cowboys!

• I'm with Ben...I can't conceive of anything that would ever draw me to his ridiculous palace to the sweating arts...nope, not even a concert with lousy sound.

• I am a 40something native Dallasite whose family had TX stadium bonds from day one. Before that, me, my dad and brothers would go to the Cotton Bowl and watch the Cowboys while freezing our ace off and drinking nickel hot chocolate. I have made a pledge to myself, and there are many others just like me, to never set foot in Jerry's EnormoDome. I don't care if you give me tickets or the nature of the event, it still is not going to happen.

• $760 for one game? Thanks, but no thanks.
