Let's start this item over -- clean and shorten this sucker up. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission finally sent over the 32-page report detailing the events of the raid on the Rainbow Lounge raid in Fort Worth; it's below, as you can see. But Tameka Harris, the agency's legal secretary, also informs us that there are 819 supplementary pages, available to us at the cost of $161.40; we're looking under the couch now for loose change, and will post those as soon as the check clears (fingers crossed).
As noted earlier, the agency's internal investigators "found evidence to support the allegations that ... three TABC employees violated various agency policies." Now, then, your must-read in an easy-to-read format.TABC Report on Rainbow Lounge Raid
I know whenever I'm going to score some drugs, I'm sure to wear nothing but thong underwear.
For all of you geniuses out there acting like the cops were wrong -- if you knew anything about drug culture (as these cops obviously did; they're pros), you'd know that. In a lot of parts of town, if you show up to a drug deal not wearing thong underwear, or wearing pants over your thong underwear, you'll get shot. Say hello to my little friend.
So keep your negative comments to yourself and leave law enforcement to the professionals.
Definitely appears like all involved are covering themselves and broke what I consider minor policy
However, nowhere in the report did I read how Gibson received a fractured skull. Every officer in the report say they never saw a pool of blood, but did witness he had a goose egg size bump and road rash type cuts on his face.
I think this is going to be hard to prove as enforcement brutality due to credible witnesses and the fact that those types of injuries can happen while Gibson was resisting arrest.
I think the agents and officers will be taken down for violating policy, but not brutality just to quiet the public.
So he couldn't figure out that this was a gay club with entertainment featuring guys dancing in their underwear, and maybe the owner was telling them to get back to work.

That or "Hey, there is a really creepy cop hiding behind the fence staring at you guys."
Maybe it's just me but if I was on private property and found out a pervy looking cop was hiding behind a fence staring at me, I think I would move too. Not because I was doing anything illegal but because it's creepy.
To me this reads like a group of internal homophobes who are confused themselves about their own sexuality and think by
bashing gay men, trashing gay men, arresting gay men...it will help them with their own sexual confusion.
First these dudes put on muscle shirts, claimed they were being groped (hoping to be groped) and saw men sitting on picnic table in g strings and watched them....(while their dicks got hard)
This story has so many holes in it and even more assholes in it.
This my favorite part:
[TABC Agent Christopher] Aller recalled exiting the unit and walking through the parking lot, eventually making his way to a fence in the back. Aller said he and [FWPD] Officer Back looked through the fence openings into a patio area and observed six or eight customers. He saw two males dressed only in thong-like underwear or bikini bottoms sitting on some picnic tables. As he continued to view the area, he noticed the male subject who had earlier identified himself as the owner entered the patio area and quickly made his way to one of the individuals in the underwear and whispered in his ear. Aller said the male subject got up and ran inside.
Aller believed the subjects actions were odd and could indicate the possibility of drug activity or lewd conduct.
So he couldn't figure out that this was a gay club with entertainment featuring guys dancing in their underwear, and maybe the owner was telling them to get back to work.
The two themes I get from this report are 1) "covering my ass" and 2) "blame the other department". These people are an embarrassment to public service and there should be a thorough reassessment of TABC's responsibilities and the type of people they hire.
Sounds like from reading the report that 50% or more of the TABC force in FTW will be contributing to the UNEMPLOYMENT statistics real soon. (As they should be FIRED)
These officers should also be prosecuted CRIMINALLY for POLICE BRUTALITY. Excessive Force should never be tolerated & should be dealt with the most severe consuqences possible. Including PRISON TIME.
If I had to guess, I'd say that more than one homosexual got pounded that night.
It's looking like these idiot bullies didn't actually set out to "roll fags" but were extra-special-testy in dealing with them once they got there. And then, in their most bonehead move of all), they trotted out the "gay panic defense" thinking surely that would exonerate them of any wrongdoing.
What a bozo brigade.
Sounds like these three idiots are just troublemakers, why they haven't been bounced from the once-proud FWPD is a question many are asking...
If my endorsement carries any weight, I really recommend people grab Robert Guest's blog's RSS feed.
Robert can get insider baseball on courtroom issues (which for a guy like me who always dreamed of dropping out of law school is cool) but his broader criminal justice insights and his ongoing open-records campaign are must-follows.
If my endorsement doesn't carry weight, go read Guest's blog anyway and don't hold my opinion against him.

Thanks for the link. I asked for these a while back. They came in this morning. I don't have time to do a thorough review right now.
Public intoxication arrests and police brutality often go hand in hand. The PI law in Texas is so broad that the police can arrest anyone who pisses them off, and they often do.
Oppress then obfuscate!
These cops don't care. They will keep doing the same shit. Assholes.
