Perhaps you've heard: The North Texas Tollway Authority will, come September 1, most likely raise the speed limit on most area toll roads to 70 miles per hour following a full board vote one week from Wednesday. There will be some exceptions: For instance the Dallas North Tollway between Oak Lawn Avenue and Collin County will max out at 65. But, for the most part, Sammy Hagar will be delighted.
So, what prompted this move? The so-called "speed study" below, which NTTA public information officer Sherita Coffelt was kind enough to send to Unfair Park today. As you can see, it's below, because that's the way I roll: Windows down, Foghat up.North Texas Tollway Authority Speed Study
You should change your title.
I think you made a need for speed title to attract people to your article.
Good way.
Looks like there's a new leg of defense for all those pulled over and ticketed in the 60mph zones. By running 70, you are actually reducing emissions.
Great so when we all hit the Keller Springs and Parker toll plazas doing 70 instead of 45 that'll make for extra fun. Get rid of the cash lanes first morons!
Disclaimer: I speed
Bitch: So much for buying cars for good gas mileage, every mph above 55 increases gas consumption significantly.
Big Bitch: Makes it really hard to text and bong at the same time.
T-tops off.
Hells yes.
The Big Guy thinks The City of Carrollton, City of Irving, City of Plano, and the Texas DPS will be losing a significant source of revenue.
I would expect the local municipalities to go back to taxing speeders on their local streets
I would rather see a walled off driving while texting only lane. It would need to easy to clean so we can just hose off the blood and viscera. And in a few months we can open the lane to regular traffic having reduced two problems with DFW traffic.
Will this speed make a difference in headon collisions?
Less paperwork?
