If You've Ever Wanted to Own a Big Chunk of the West End, Well, Here's Your Chance

There's quite a sizable hunk of property available in the West End -- 87,000 square feet of office and retail, plus about 40K in parking spots. Says the for-sale brochure, the four-addresses-big, 'bout-100-years-old West End Square on Elm Street's gone into foreclosure -- no asking price listed, though. (County tax rolls put the combined value 'round $2.7 million; GlobeSt.com, though, says it's valued at $8.5 million.)

And what can you do with the building located blocks away from the Sixth Floor Museum, DART's West End Station, Old Red and whatever's left of the West End? Whatever you want, according to Realtor Linda ZImmerman: "It could be office, multifamily, retail or anything else. The former owner did repave outside one of the buildings, so it could be conducive to putting an outside café to a restaurant out front."
