Tomorrow, a Thrice-Fired Dallas Police Officer Once More Asks Judge For His Job Back
Perez is the guy D's Trey Garrison once called "The Worst Cop in Dallas" for myriad reasons -- among them, in October 2006, he violated the department's high-speed pursuit policy, which resulted in the deaths of two men and a wrongful death lawsuit. DPD chief David Kunkle fired Perez in January for using an official vehicle to drive to and from work after his own car had been repo'd. As Perez has already been reinstated twice, he likely enters tomorrow's hearing at Dallas City Hall a bit more hopeful than most who go through the process of trying to get their jobs back.
