In a lengthy piece published early this morning, Politico notes Pete Sessions's public stance on earmarks: "a symbol of a broken Washington to the American people." Except, see, there was this one time, in 2008, when the Congressman from the Fightin' 32nd "steered a $1.6 million earmark for dirigible research to an Illinois company whose president acknowledges having no experience in government contracting, let alone in building blimps." Sessions said the project would create jobs in Dallas. Except, see, the company's based in Chicago. Though there is an office in San Antone.
