Meet the New Trees, Same as the Old Trees?

• Checking out the slideshow and seeing the building again just reminds me of how amazing of a venue that space is. Sadly, this just may not be the climate to sustain this building by music. Most people I know are into understated bands and DIY house parties, supporting tons of small acts that could, individually, never fill a venue of Trees' size. I'm cautious to not try to think the 90's could be re-lived. It was a peculiar time where small bands could somehow be rock stars in a small venues. And talent was oozing out of every corner of Dallas. There was a re-invention of rock nationwide going on the time that just had people going out to clubs. Let's hope that judicious booking can at least give new Trees some amount of uniqueness.
