Perhaps you heard Mike Snyder and Jane McGarry's tearful parting of ways this morning on Dunham and Miller, where the closing segment of Monday's 10 p.m. KXAS-Channel 5 newscast seemingly played on a loop. The station's story concerning Snyder's new deal with the NBC affiliate -- as mentioned in May, he will continue anchoring the 5 and 6 p.m. weekday newscasts, but no longer JaM on it with his longtime co-anchor -- and the accompanying adios-ish just went online. The video's now after the jump, but KXAS left out the best part -- you know, where Jane and Mike exchange sniffling I-love-yous. I've sent an angry letter to station management on your behalf.
Update: Courtesy a Friend of Unfair Park in the comments, here's the full video, including Snyder and McGarry's final moments as on-air partners. That's enormous passion right there.
Well, that should free up some time for his real talent - being a fake news reporter on heavy metal albums.
"My heart goes out to anyone who is farmed out by a parent company, in this economic climate or any. It's that 'thanks for 19 years but adios' corporate mentality that we know so well."
He is in the same building.....same desk.....same mic. WHF are you talking about?
Frankly, I just watched the entire video and felt the only way one can when they actually think what was happening there.
My heart goes out to anyone who is farmed out by a parent company, in this economic climate or any. It's that 'thanks for 19 years but adios' corporate mentality that we know so well.
Do I care about the 'channel 5' 'Mike and Jane' media team? Why would I? But when it comes to the <b>real</b> world, I wish each nothing but the best. And yes, I appreciate their emotions shown believing they are also...real.
LOL just put hanson with those to idiots and you have the making of a SNL bit
Between this and MJ it's now OK to cry guys.
Off to my philanthropic liquor store run.
I love you Robert.
I love you Uncle Barky.
You're full of crap, "Bob." I haven't removed any comments. Maybe the comments section went down for a bit during the Michael Jackson web jam. Dunno. was too busy watching and taking notes.
Ok so I'm glad that the Indian Princesses got a shout out but I'm afraid he's a little late, it's a 4 year program that starts in kindergarten. Matt is right, its now Adventure Princesses even though we still do eveything in the traditions of teh old program.
He was always the wrong Peron for the job...
And let's not forget that "A <i>PERVERT</i>" originally asked, "Do you want some of this?"
lol thanks for posting the vid links, good stuff.

LOL
"Excuse me, Sen. Franken, do you want a piece of this?"
Christ, he just got sworn in today and it's already started. Poor Republicans may just leave the country.......
Now that Snyder has some free time, maybe he can start shilling for the Republican party again. Gov. Mike Snyder? Sen. Mike Snyder?
"Excuse me, Sen. Franken, do you want a piece of this?"
The comments on Ed Bark's site were so anti-Ted Baxter that he has removed them.
don't be tryin those skills on the way home, snoopy dog
Does the new contract include an expense account for "musking up," or will that be on his own dime now?
What a titty baby......
It's not like he's retiring or dying of cancer. He'll STILL have his same desk and "World's Greatest Channel 5 News Anchor" coffee cup.
Way too much self importance.
The 'I love yous' were greatness, somebody put it on youtube already.
Mike will always have Operation Mindcrime, his greatest achievement.
OK, what the hell does this "Locals Only" thing I keep seeing mean?
Poor guy doesn't know we're not allowed to say "Indian Princesses" any more.
