Assistant city manager Ramon Miguez, for three more days
In the memo below, written by Dallas City Manager Mary Suhm and sent to Mayor Tom Leppert and the city council (as well as other city officials), you'll find a list of all Assistant City Manager
Ramón F. Míguez's accomplishments -- as well as a breakdown of how the remaining four assistant city managers will cover his copious duties, since Miguez done up and resigned today and there ain't no money in the budget to hire a replacement. But, wait, why the departure? Well, Rudy Bush suggests he wasn't none too happy with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' "unacceptable" rating of the Trinity River levees. But we've been promised that Míguez -- who was charged with overseeing Aviation, Communication and Information Services, Convention and Event Services, Public Works & Transportation, Sanitation Services, Street Services and Water Utilities -- will return our call later today, so we'll get the what-the-what straight from him. Either that, or his resignation letter. Regardless, Friday's his last day, lucky. Ramon Miguez Memo
I have always thought that if you resigned you should have another job to take your current position's place. Never leave a job when there are none out there. Wait and get terminated so that you can get unemployment compensation. Today they released notice that state trust funds for unemployment have been exhausted
Dang, I read through that list of accomplishments hoping I could blame him for all those dead trees that got planted right before the World Cup and then promptly died for lack of water. I don't think I can. I would so love to meet the weeniehead behind that brilliant scheme one day, if only to ask, "What's it like to be a major weeniehead?"
Yeah he does... heading up the Dallas office of HDR.
Smartest guy working in city management. Probably has a private sector job lined up already.
I remember this clown lying to me when I reported some years ago that the bozos he oversaw in Sanitation damaged my curb with their garbage truck. I saw it happen; he did not, of course. It's about time Suhm got rid of Miguez. See ya, jerkface.
Still another legal scoop from your go-to three coupon guy Herschel!
PS: Dallas + Mary Suhm = female Job. (Jobalina? Jobita?)
