National Public Radio's Wade Goodwyn headed out to Southfork Ranch yesterday for America's Tea Party -- alas, no Janeane Garofalo, though. Or Rick Perry either, though the governor did put in an appearance at a tea party out in Rockwall (hope he had time to grab a bite at the Culpepper Steak House). Texans for Rick Perry captured the entirety of his speech, but here's a glimpse for those who prefer their tea unsweetened.
Do you know of any charter bus going to Washington DC for 912 close to Killeen, Dallas, Austin Area?
The only thing Rick Perry has over Sarah Palin is that he is bankrolled by those with the biggest bankrolls. He is very careful to follow their orders.
My question is: who wrote his speech? Maybe Sarah coached him on it.
The DMN listed the crowd at 35,000 for the SouthFork Tea Tantrum.
I think that is exactly the same amount of people that attended the Sparkman Club July 4th parade.
I didn't go to the Southfork Tea Party but we knew where to park without having to go into Southfork to see the fireworks. Their fireworks presentation was over 20 minutes late - can't even manage a simple party right......
The last thing this state needs is 4 more years of the Dippity-Do Douchebag. Anybody but Perry in '10.
Yeah, Governor Perry. Economics is so (uh-HUH-HUH-huh) gosh-darned simple that it explains why there are never any business failures, investment bubbles, stock market collapses or a Nobel Prize in Economics. All we need is some slicked-back hair, a corn pone accent, a fake man-of-the-people schtick and a revisionist view of American history.
An alleged quote from Governor Perrys speech:
We Americans, who forged the valleys from Alaska to Monterey, Mexico know when a duck is in our row or not. Its time we reclaim everything that is rightfully American from San Juan to Guam, and throw the poached and purloined bounty into the bed of our Chevy Silverado Dually with Mud Guards & Mud Flaps and shout in the memorable words of Brenda Lees 1961 song anthem " Coming On Strong ".
