Moments from now in U.S. District Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn's courtroom, opening statements will be delivered in the public corruption case against former Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill, his wife Sheila Farrington Hill, former Dallas City Plan Commissioner D'Angelo Lee and others indicted in October 2007. But per the judge's orders, Farrington's attorney, Victor Vital, filed on Friday her proposed final jury instructions -- in other words, the Hills' defense team's interpretation of the law concerning each individual indictment. It's not necessarily a sneak peek of the defense, because other issues can and most likely will be raised during what's expected to be a lengthy trial, but a good legal primer for those just now getting up to speed.
