At This Rate, the Woodall Rodgers Deck Park Will Wind Up Paying For Itself
According to Joanna Singleton at Jackson Spalding, Keep Dallas Beautiful is writing a check for $265,000 to go toward the five-acre project. Says Fran Phillips, president of the KDB board, in a media release, "The Park is a perfect fit for us because it is for the whole of Dallas. This money belongs to the volunteers who picked up litter throughout the City, worked tirelessly to wipe out graffiti, and helped clean up the Trinity. We thought about areas that needed improvement and decided we couldn't be as central or serve as much of Dallas as we could by donating to the Park."
