Just like Bull Durham, but different: Michael Gruber and Danny Balis
Tried to listen to The Ticket's "Great Game" last night, but ... no, unh-unh. (Though it sure did sound like a great game -- from 16-1 to 20-20, awesome.) But, fortunately, Patrick Michels did stop by Frisco's Dr Pepper Ballpark just long enough to grab yet another installment of Awkward Danny Balis Sports Moments. There's a more complete slide show here, for those who can stomach such things.
Wilonsky, as critics go most of the time I enjoy your perspective, yet your enthusiasm regarding the Hard Line continues to puzzle. Perhaps Hugo Chavez is more self absorbed than the Gray wolf and the Snake. What's next Bob, a review of Petty Theft where Rhyner's fret board skills are compared to Wes Montgomery?
I tried to listen but the static drove me crazy. Cumulus needs to put The Ticket on 570. Hey ass, what's up with the anger problem I couldn't tell you those guys first names or Laurel and Hardy's names. I guess I'm not hip to comedy teams from the 1940s. Must be a angry old dude that doesn't listen to The Ticket. They get shit wrong all the time and make fun of their own ignorance. Peace out.
Sorry ass. When I was a kid I just called them Abbot and Costello. So have good and get a little give Danny.
