The Observer reported similar charges against Pablo Alvarado pretty extensively back in 2006 (though The Observer described him as a Dallas attoney, that may or may note be a correct description). Back then, Defendant Alvino Alvarado was still a law student at Wesleyan.

It took over three years to find a lawyer who would take the case? Really?

Dishonesty & curruption involving Mexican government officials? Didn't see that one comin'.

Hubbard-Urrea is the guy who said (referring to illegal immigrants), "no human being is illegal." And who recorded a Spanish-language radio spot where he warned listeners to not commit acts of domestic violence because it could stop them from being naturalized.

AND they say they are not "lawless" he will probably say he didn't write the letter but the person who wrote it still is there. Luis Lara signed by the acting Consul at that time Salgado.

Subject: Press Conference - May 21, 2009 - Thursday, 4:00 PM - @ Dallas Office of the Mexican Consulate located on Stemmons Freeway --- Hispanic Leader Responds to Lawsuit Filed by Domingo Garcia Against Mexican Consulate, Dallas, Texas.

Dallas lawyer Domingo Garcia recently filed a lawsuit in a Dallas County District Court making what we believe to be irresponsible and disturbing commentary against Dallas Mexican Consul General Enrique Hubbard Urrea and the Dallas Mexican Consulate in its entirety. We feel an obligation to respond said Carlos Quintanilla. "The issue at hand is a legal conflict between two lawyers who are fighting over a case that occurred in 2005. Dallas attorney Pablo Alvarado makes a claim and presented a witness who testified Domingo Garcia dispatched individuals who beat him up. Garcia, to protect his integrity and law firm, filed a counter-suit against Alvarado.

Regretfully, Garcia's attorney is Larry Friedman; Mr. Friedman is the lawyer who represented Dallas car dealer Frank Parra connected to an immigration issue related to Oscar Urbina, a customer of one of Frank Parra auto dealership who contacted local police who then turned over Mr. Urbina to immigration.

We are calling on Domingo Garcia, Pablo Alvarado and Larry Friedman to cease and desist an their alleged claims of criminal activity and other disturbing activities within the Dallas Mexican Consulate without evidence, without foundation, and with no public claim except by those who are caught in a tug of war between Domingo Garcia and Pablo Alvarado.

We are also calling on these individuals to cease and desist on what can only be described as their alleged defaming and slander of the good hard work conducted by the Dallas Mexican Consul General Enrique Hubbard Urrea.

A press conference will be held today at the Dallas Office of the Mexican Consulate located on Stemmons Freeway at 4:00 pm.
