If You Need to Find Schutze Today ...

Jim's all dolled up: tie and pants and everything. Then, he does have a busy afternoon planned; just as well his Cinco de Mayo BBQ was called on account of flash flood warning. First, he'll be stopping by DISD HQ for today's 3:30 called meeting, during which the board of trustees will discuss the ramifications of the Texas Attorney General's opinion and reducing staffing at magnets and learning centers. After that, he's headed over to the Dallas Convention Center Arena for the Trinity Parkway Public Hearing, which we mentioned back in March for those in need of a more detailed agenda than the one provided by the city. So, if you need Schutze today, you're now in possession of his schedule. And, for that matter, a sneak peek at tomorrow's Unfair Park.

Angela Hunt will also be at the Trinity hearing. And she'd like you to attend as well, even if I totally dropped the ball on those danged Schutze tees. Writes the council member:
The city refuses to consider other locations for the toll road that would allow us to move forward on other long-delayed aspects of the Trinity Project, including critical levee improvements, the highly anticipated Trinity Park, and the desperately-needed reconstruction of S.M. Wright Freeway.

If you are concerned about the city's decision to construct the Trinity Toll Road in our floodway, you will have the opportunity to make your voice heard. The federal government has yet to sign off on this location, and part of their analysis includes public input.
