At last, the truest definition of "the last picture show," seen Friday evening in Victory Park
Friend of the show Danny Hurley was out and about Friday night, snapping photos of the Texas Day celebration that started in Victory Park and ended up at the downtown Neimans. We'll post a slide show tomorrow, but till then, two favorites. Above, Governor Rick Perry (who's promised funding Texas film incentives to the tune of $60-plus million), Mayor Tom Leppert, director Peter Bogdanovich and a host of other dignitaries viewing choice clips from made-in-Texas film classics; after the jump, the governor in a far more ... well, let's just say candid moment.
