All A-Twitter

I'd tweet this item, but ... no. Instead, this trio of Twitter-related items in a single post. As in: This morning, the Chicago Tribune becomes the latest in a series of stories to reference Addison-based TweetCongress, which, go figure, follows the tweets of those in Congress -- about 110 politicians at present. Says the site, best described as a political tweet aggregator, "This site is a grass-roots effort to get our men and women in Congress to open up and have a real conversation with us"; matter of fact, it took home the best activism site award at South by Southwest Interactive a few weeks back. Co-founder Chris McCroskey -- who, like the rest of the TC crew, works at Web development firm Squeejee -- tells the Trib, "This is engaging people and getting them involved in democracy, using a communications tool that will take off in the next 10 years."

Also this morning, The Chronicle of Higher Education ranks the "10 college Twitterers worth following," and coming in at No. 5 is David Parry, an assistant professor of emerging media and communications at the University of Texas at Dallas. Notes the Chron, "Mr. Parry was one of the first to try Twitter as a teaching too ... and has gained many followers of his Twitter feed, where he shares his experiences using technology for teaching and research." Follow along here.

And, of course, there's the whole Mark Cuban-Shaq back-and-forth, which has spurred suggestions that Shaquille O'Neal wants to be a Dallas Maverick. To which ESPN's Marc Stein writes this morning, Cuban has made it sound as though he "would prefer to keep his longtime friendship with O'Neal on a mostly Twitter level."
