Tomorrow, You Can Run the Trinity River Levee or Run From the Law, Your Choice

• It's ONE DAY, you ninnies. Did you READ the story? Plus, the city needs the money.

• So the Dallas City Marshall's Office is doing a warrant round up? You do know their job is to enforce warrants... Will DPD be doing the warrants arrests? Well, good. Because you should've received a notice if you have an outstanding warrant and should've paid it. And I'm sure the whole police force is doing absolutely nothing today but enforcing warrants. Way to overreact to something that should be done anyway.

• I'm also happy that our police have things all cleaned up and Mayberryized so that they have time to put the entire force on tax collection (paid for with overtime, of course.)

• Thank god we live in a city that the cops have nothing better to do than track down and arrest people that forgot to pay a small fine for a minor traffic violation instead of that silly fighting dangerous crime type stuff. We read a story the other day about how people in South Dallas are afraid in their own homes and the city says tough luck on more cops to make the neighborhood safer but tomorrow we have the police resources to arrest, book, jail, etc for failing to pay minor fines for relatively small fines. Turn this stuff over to collections agencies except for the particularly egregious, many thousands of dollars type outstanding fines our cops should and do have better things to do with their time.
