Schutze Shirts: A Contest in the Making

• How about a print of "American Gothic" with the words, "PITCHFORK BRIGADE" on it. I'm resentful of the Bailout strongarm by the financiers, and our mayor's utter contempt for the voice of the voters another strong arm trick. OUR politicians are utter whores. I wonder whether people like Angela Hunt aren't betraying their cause. Tolstoy in his "Letter to Liberals" says good people should avoid abusive institutions. Their good efforts, far too often ineffective, short of revealing the scope of our losses only serve to give a good name to a bad institution. Tolstoy argues we should let these institutions utterly discredit themselves. Then, we see them for what they are and they loose their power. Read Tolstoy's letter to liberals. For him, a liberal is someone who wishes to improve the world and loves liberty. It is a really fascinating read and instructive for our times.

• On the back of the t-shirt, let's put a slogan to the effect of "Respectable Press" or "Respectable Journalist" -- whatever the limits Supt. Hinojosa used when he announced his 2009 PR campaign. This way, the shirt could do dual duty and Jim and his fans could wear it at the DISD meetings too.

• Why does that shirt remind me of the posters for Vincent Price movies I used to enjoy at the Arcadia?

• Toots used a capital "W". I think she's a racist.

• Well, TG, I've never been curtsied to before. I gave up blog commenting for lent, so I'll take a mulligan and say, Monty Python is just alright with me... Great idea for a shirt though.

• Better yet why not have a paper mask made of Jim's face and people can wear that along with the t-shirt to the public hearing. hundreds of Jim Schutze faces sitting in the crowd

• I think it should just be his picture with the words "White Guilt" underneath as he is the poster boy for that condition. :-)
