The pics are great. It looks like a Texas Amy whinehouse. Maybe I should be that for Halloween. We are very competitive about Halloween and July 4th. The pics make me wished I was there. Thanks, J
"Rockers v Mods" and Quadrophenia: Thanks for some great American photos, that really captured the seductive essence of their musical subjects. Also your slideshows. For an international audience this stuff is great and I hope to see more soon.
Thank you Dallas and well done photographer Danny Hurley!
From an Australia fan
Great coverage! Awesome shots!
Nice images Danny. What's your next project? Give us a hint.
nice
Great photos! Up close and personal... the way that i like to see photography. kudos to the photographer, Danny Hurley!
Love These Shots! Truly captured the fun and the funk that Dallas can be! Thanks Hurley!
Love the photographs, we need more from this photographer.....he rocks, very clever.
Great pics! Looks like fun.
Well done, Danny. Great stuff.
Galahad Represent.
i like the presentation style of these photos -rather formalistic and modular yet fun and with great character -which fits the subject quite well!
nice work!
What a great event! It sure was cool to see so many two wheelers out together!
I was at La Cubanita having breakfast when a small contigent of these folks rode by...
Great picks Danny
I reside in the Pacific Northwest, but lived in Dallas for a decade and keep up with hometown news via the Observer!
The photos by this cat Hurley truly represent the wild west spirit of Texas. Rockers and Mods and these images is culture immoralized -- and local characters doesnt change. 200 years ago, basic folks, wild men, adventurers, gals with tattoos and pirates came to this republic-- in someways, the images are the same folks that make Texas.. TEXAS!! Like next week, here in Seattle.. we are having a Texas reunion in WASHINGTON!! yea.
Great shots Mr. Danny Hurley. I'd like to hang with both crowds. Makes me want to crank up some WHO and slam tequila shots.
Q: "Are you a mod or a rocker?"
A: Ringo sez, "Neither. I'm a mocker."
Nice portrait Danny. I agree with Amy in the comment above: the Texas tat with the gingham halter are fab. There is also something intriguing about her smile. Good work.
I wish I could ride around in a side-car.
Some great shots. Looks like I missed a good time.
33,000 words well told by Dr. Dan Hurley. -Jim Fiscus
I heart the heathens.
Great photos! I particularly love Flo with the nose ring and giant Texas tat.
What's this? A biker rally with no Harleys ? What a great idea.
Mr Hurley.... You rock!
Thanks for the props Robert.
I drank a pint with Ned Viscous and Johnny Rotter
of The Sex Pistols Experience at the Longhorn Ballroom. Had awsome nachos with my ol pal, new dad, Seth of Lee Harveys. I rode around shooting from a side car, first time i've been on a bike since my near fatal accident in college
I learned the real story about Rockers vs. Mods from my ol pal English Bob, an actual Mod of the day.
Apparently The Rockers liked Fast Black Bikes, Black Tar and Black leather. They had no patience for the
the well dresses Artistic Mods who preferred slower colorful Vespas, adorned with Cadillac hood ornaments and VW Hub caps.
Apearently the fights depicted in Quadrophinia were allot more brutal than depicted. Not here though, the guys and gals were brothers on bikes.
