Today could be former Dallas Police Department Chief Terrell Bolton's final day as the top cop in DeKalb County, Georgia. Or not: This morning his attorney told county officials he's been back in Dallas tending to medical problems, and that canning the chief for comp-time issues would be a violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act. Which could set up yet another court battle for Bolton, who had till 10 a.m. today to put up or shut up in his response to the pre-termination letter sent the Bolton at the end of last week. And some DeKalb officers are thrilled, delighted and tickled that Bolton might be boltin' back to Dallas, where his family still lives and where Bolton still spends all of his off time. After the jump, video from this morning's newscast on the Fox affiliate in Atlanta, which all seems so ... familiar.
That's why your city is screwed up now! I hope Terrell Bolton nails there ass to the wall with lawsuits. Go Bolton
Please post the video link when he gets on Atlanta TV blubbering and sobbing next to an attorney.
Chief Bolton has been TERMINATED....again. There is dancing in the Atlanta streets!
To go from a three striper on the DPD to police chief was a step he wasn't ready for. Now he doesn't wish to go back.
He was just promoted to above the level of his incompetence.
Grumpy Demo says:
Hey there's a opening at Elliot's he might check out. Based on the prior applicant, the requirement aren't that high.
Oh the irony.
Maybe his third time as Chief of Police will be the charm. And I will start wearing a hat because pig will learn to fly at the same time as Bolton gets another chance as head cop.
I hear that Kwame Kilpatrick needs a limo driver...
Amazingly enough, he has two brothers that are also police chiefs!
As the late Nikolai Khrushchev said, "Whether the water is salt or fresh -- Shit floats".
Hey there's a opening at Elliot's he might check out. Based on the prior applicant, the requirement aren't that high.
I wonder if he is going to start crying again. Cops should NEVER cry, particularly a Chief of Police; unless its at a funeral. I hear Hazzard County, GA might be hiring.
Toots, excellent observation.
Just wondering... how did this guy ever make it to the top.... not once, but twice?
