Last week, Rep. Pete Sessions had to be interrupted by an aide during an interview with the National Journal when he just couldn't stop putting the words "insurgency," "Republican Party" and "Taliban" in the same sentences. Which is how Sessions, makin' the 32nd District proud, wound up as the subject of Stephen Colbert's "The Word" segment last night.

Geez, and I just thought it was because I'm a rabid liberal Democrat that I thought Sessions was a mindless windbag. Now there's proof.

You ever notice how these guys say crap like this when they know there's plenty of time for everyone to forget before the next election?

Hell, this may be a harbinger that Pete is starting to try to understand the mind of the terrorist. Maybe Pete will realize that terrorism is usually the powerless' retaliation for occupation. Suicide Terrorism is even more universally linked to occupation.

Maybe, maybe the light is coming on in Pete's head. I'd consult my magic 8 ball, but it cracked a leak. Craps anyone?
