From the INRIX National Traffic Scorecard 2008 Annual Report, a look at DFW's traffic hot spots
The INRIX National Traffic Scorecard 2008 Annual Report is out today, and Dallas-Fort Worth is up one spot from last year's list: We're now No. 4 on the most-congested list, behind only Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. (Though do keep this in mind, as the media release reminds: "Coincidentally, Dallas also holds the 4th highest population rank in the country, which is just one of the many factors leading to its high traffic ranking.")

It's a lengthy report at 142 pages, but the DFW page summarizes the problems with a list of the 25 "worst bottlenecks" in the area (the top four are in Tarrant County, with Dallas's first hot spot listed as the Woodall Rodgers Freeway) and the amount of extra time folks spend stuck in their cars, which has dropped slightly but, clearly, not enough. And, this year as it was last year, the worst time to be on the road is between 5 and 6 p.m. on Friday, for which you didn't need a study to tell you that.
