Mike, I think there is no one more congenial or polite than Diane Rhem. Yet, as I've repeatedly written to her, "she is the ballsiest reporter working."

She is fair, and unlike Krys, she remembers what she read. Krys believes, evidently in coming to each new show as a cipher. Each new set of "facts" is unquestionable. And every guest should be treated with equal respect.

Except, Alan Dershowitz who on the one hand supports Dog and Pony shows for OJ thinks that murdering political rivals of Israel without trial or challenge is a OK. He lies, calling Norman Finklestien who's parents were both in Nazi prison camps a Holocaust denier.

Krys won't push her guests to offer more than pat, bs answers. Again, before you claim that letting them give a coded non-answer is evidence enough. Diane doesn't let that pass, she pushes, questions and allows herself to bring her own facts to the show.

I think Krys is very ambitious and treasures her career prospects more than the charge of journalism. Krys has clearly decided that discretion is the better part of valor, thereby selling our local NPR affiliate down the the slow pitched sewer.
