I love Nadel, but Mark Holtz is still the greatest local sports broadcaster ever. The two of them together will never be topped.

They started sharing content in sports a few days ago, and the DMN beat writers no longer cover the Rangers. So the DMN report on the radio move is done by S-T reporter Anthony Andro.
But isn't this sort of a business story and not really a sports story. And since Barry Horn covers the sports media for the DMN, shouldn't he be doing their coverage. Both papers said the would just be sharing sports coverage, but no sharing in other news and business stories. Looks like that deal is already leaking all over the place.

Then, more than two hours later, (the rather unfortunately named for a baseball beat writer) Anthony Andro posted the exact same item and got called out for reposting -- by Mark Hamburger (not the Mark Hamburger?) and Jarrett (not the Jarrett ... Rush, DMN Presentations Editor?).

A friend of mine in Clarksville, Texas, has been told the Dallas News will no longer deliver in East Texas. Surely the Rangers aren't following the newspaper's business plan.
I'm just glad it sounds like they're going to stop pre-empting weekday news on 1080. Always a major bummer during drive time. I like my crackly, staticky afternoon news.

Most people around DFW probably won't care, but it looks like the people in OKC and Tulsa who want to follow their favorites on the radio just got boned. Looks like their best bet now is KGNC in Amarillo. That's gotta suck.
