You Could Stare at Your Desk All Day or Drive to Austin for the Office Space Anniversary

Since some of Office Space was filmed in Las Colinas, and since writer-director Mike Judge once called Garland home, and since the movie still gets me to make the occasional "O" face, this good news courtesy the fine folks from Fantastic Fest down Austin way: There's gonna be an Office Space 10th anniversary-reunion shebang at the Paramount Theater on February 8. According to the note that dropped in the in-box, "This one-time only screening event will take place at 8:00 PM and will include special appearances by writer/director Mike Judge and members of the cast and crew to be announced at a later date."

Some of the cast names have already been announced, among them the great Gary Cole (Bill Lumbergh), David Herman (Michael Bolten) and Ajay Naidu (Samir Nagheenanajar); more will be announced in coming days. General public tickets will be available here or at the Paramount box office beginning Saturday at noon; there will also be a small amount of VIP passes available that will include "a pre-event cocktail reception, a limited edition event souvenir, flair, an actual red Swingline stapler, and an after-party at Chotchkie's featuring pizza shooters, shrimp poppers and extreme fajitas!"
