Ticket Chick: It Was Quite the Scene at Eddie Bernice Johnson's Office This Morning

A good Friend of Unfair Park, up in D.C. for Barack Obama's inauguration, was on Capitol Hill this a.m. to pick up her tickets for tomorrow. Alas, all did not go as planned:

Hundreds of people are standing outside capitol offices to get tickets. Many were turned away from congressional offices empty-handed. People were turned away from Eddie Bernice Johnson's office thinking they had tickets reserved under their name, only to find out this morning they were first-come, first-serve and all gone. They even called in Capitol Police to disburse the crowd and closed her office.

Update: Looks like a certain someone had no trouble getting her tickets from EBJ's office ...

And Bob Barr has adopted the modern libertarian theme of not standing for anything and passing it off as being principled, voting for him or any other libertarian is just taking the easy way out.
Brett, I voted for Barr. I am not an all day sucker like any of you who voted for one of the two parties. I wouldn't piss on either party if they were on fire. I voted for Ron Paul. I know what Conservative politics are. You, obviously don't. How anyone could vote Republican after they sold you out, and have you cheering for big gov't and crushing civil rights is beyond me. No, I am non partisan, and I feel pity for the feeble minded that believe in either party. Again, I was just pointing out your hypocrisy and your ignorance of your own ideals. I just have to ask....what do the people who went to DC do for jobs? Are they using vacation time? Taking sick days? We're in the middle of a recession but you wouldn't think so judging by the crowds in DC.

I find it interesting that he has reserved the right to use harsh interrogation methods, while his nominee as AG, Eric Holder agrees that the Patriot Act is necessary especially parts that deal with libraries.
