Hence Line 4 Ralph Strangis Guy's outing himself yesterday.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 9:19AMThe 15th Anniversary party last night was a blast....
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 9:29AMSo what you're saying is everyone west of downtown Dallas will no longer be able to listen to Stars games at night?
Real smart move by the Stars management,
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 9:30AMBoring....Yawn...I heard the Ticket was going to broadcast Shuffle board tournaments also.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 9:51AMWatching hockey on TV is pretty good… going to the games is better, but listening to a 3 hour hockey game on the radio is the most awesomest.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 10:08AMExactly MushMouth.
How about they spend some money on getting a better signal?
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 10:42AMHmm, too bad most of Ticket personalities hate hockey. It will be amusing to hear the Hardline forced to discuss the games. Poor Mike will be so tuned out.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 10:48AMInterrupting the Hardline for a sport I haven't given a second thought to in 3 years is less than appealing. This adds no value as far as I'm concerned.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 10:52AMI am sure a lot of you haters will be the first ones in line for playoff tickets when the Stars get good again.....
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 11:01AMI have seen a steady decline of the ticket since 2000. And I've been listening since the first day they were on the air (I was into Swing and Big Band music at the time). The only good shows are Bad Radio and Norm. This does nothing to improve the station.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 11:22AMI can say I "barely" enjoy listening anymore to the little Ticket. Probably a minority, but nevertheless my opinion.
I agree about the signal. I cannot listen to it in the mornings as it breaks in to an unknown Mexican music station.
When I am able to hear it, all I hear is Gordon's massive ego plugging his show or himself. Yea, that gets old.
Listening to Norm grates on my nerves. I dont need to know that the Cowboys are third in the league in rushing when the winds are out of the east and there are over 25,000 in attendance at the game.
I never get to listen to the triple D's, so no opinion on them.
The hardline is just atrocious. How about a real drive time line up that actually talk about sports? Instead, they mimic Howard Stearn and only talk about themselves and their "great" lives.
Anyway, that was my take. Hope it didn't suck.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 11:46AMNot a hater, just don't want the only thing I listen to on the radio interrupted by something that if I indeed jump on the bandwagon for, I'd go to the game or watch it on tv. It has nothing to do with whether they are good or not. It just so happens that they are as relevant as FC Dallas.
Posted On: Friday, Jan. 16 2009 @ 11:54AM The radio ratings for the Stars are negligible. If fact they were so shockingly low for WBAP, that they are probably very glad to see them go.
As for the Stars, this will increase hockey talk on the little Ticket, but their weak signal will not help increase fandom
It just so happens that they are as relevant as FC Dallas.
Perhaps a little more relevant than that. It's true that I probably would not listen to the game on the radio anyway (unless I was in the car). But I'll enjoy the pre and post games. Plus if they do the audio sync-up like with the Cowboys, I don't have to listen to annoying ESPN broadcasters.
