Wee, Ryan Seacrest is Coming to Town. Well, to Mix 102.9's Afternoon Drive Slot, Anyway.
But Mix is also getting some out-of-town talent, including Cindy Spicer (who "used to live in Dallas," Freeman says) and American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, who will now occupy the afternoon-drive slot with his show piped in from Los Angeles. All the changes begin on Monday.
Freeman, who sounds like a man who's had a very long day, will not address how many folks Clear Channel let go locally today. But he does acknowledge that "everything's fluid" and that there may be station shake-ups somewhere down the line. "These are tough economic times," he says. "And as we go forward we'll evaluate everything."
