GPS devices are a great way to keep track of city assets. City of Dallas vehicles (Water Department, Code Department, and others) are often seen way outside the city limits for extended periods of time. Not just take home vehicles, but during WORKING hours. I for one would appreciate seeing my City of Dallas property and sales taxes being better accounted for. After all, who pays for all the gas those employees are using on their personal errands outside the city limits when they are on the clock and should be taking better care of my tax dollars?

The Student could not be more right. Four years ago or so Dallas fired a large portion of its Code Enforcement Dept. Workers were not doing inspections but most of the time going home or NOT DOING THEIR JOB.

I cannot stand that woman. I know she works hard and some things I agree with her on, but she is never happy about anything. It seems that she would rather complain about other people's positions that come up with positive creative ones of her own.
My opinion, but I still have respect for her.

I think Council woman Hunt is a lot of talk. I've seen it before with Laura Miller and the only thing she got done as a council member was passing a "No Rooster in City Limits" law. Even that was a personal goal because her neighbors in the little exclusive Oak Cliff she lived in at the time was complaining about the Mexicans across the tracks.

Some one can bitch and write nice little blog pieces to the Dallas Morning news all they want but I still see Code Enforcement lacking, along with Animal Control, Sanitation, etc. Laura Miller put up the same facade and she was a horrible Mayor.
