That's what The Oklahoman is speculating this afternoon: OU and Brigham Young will kick off the 2009 college football season at Jerryworld in Arlington. And Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops didn't do much to stifle the speculation when asked for a comment today. Said Stoops, "Has that been released? All I can say is that I know they were working on it. I'm sure it would be exciting for our fans to go down and be in that great stadium." You know who I don't think will play in the new Cowboys stadium? Wade Phillips. --Robert Wilonsky

Hmmm...Mansfield Middle School? Maybe you're thinking of Texas' schedule featuring Florida Atlantic and UTEP. OU, on the other hand, had Cincinnati and TCU, both schools which finished in the top 12 of the BCS. Do a little research before you post.

Every big program schedules body bag games. If they didn't UNT and the like would never get on prime time television. Some schools are worse than others every year and they can't help it. I just wish somebody was working as hard as Jerry to put games in the Cotton Bowl before our fifty million dollar paint job on a turd goes to waste.

Consider the fact that your favorite school schedules cupcakes year in and year out. Lessons learned from whomever scheduled UCLA a few years back. (remember those ass whoopins?)The fact is that your prominent years have been when OU and A&M had down years, otherwise you have been ..let's say...middle of the road. Maybe Mack should have petitioned the NCAA for 5 more years of eligibilty for Vince Young because without him...UT is just an average team!
