Look, goddamn it, Wade Phillips will be back as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys next season. And Jason Garrett ain't going nowhere, neither. And, look, don't ask Jerry Jones any more questions about that, K? Because he don't wanna hear that shit.

"Look, can y'all not understand statements?" Jones said [today]. "What the [expletive] is going on here? Really. I really don't understand what is going on. The coaching staff is in place. The coaching staff is in place. The building is here. You want to ask the question, what if it blows down?"

Got that? (Oh, for some video ...) Course, chances are that come Sunday, when the Eagles clobber the Cowboys, Jerry'll tell 'em all to go expletive themselves. --Robert Wilonsky

Lakewooder, You do understand that Arlington is paying for all those infrastructure upgrades, right? And, it seems that Jerry gets a break on Sales Taxes and property taxes. So, actually it may prove to be a great suck. Grapevine will benefit most from the Superbowl. They get an unusual benefit from DFW and, you mark my words the Gaylord will be the great beneficiary of the Superbowl parties and such. All my life my Dad and Grandfather held Cowboy tickets. I am the only grandchild, I've been to a bunch of Cowboy games. We never did anything near the stadium. If we needed a soda we were sure to get it at the local 7-11. There are few if any examples where public funding of stadiums has proven beneficial, especially football. Football stadiums are particularly problematic as the draw less often and far larger number of cars. This creates a parking island. 30,000 cars, at 200 sqft/lot equals 135 acres of parking. Arlington has the benefit of having half that parking availible from the Ballpark, but we'll be adding the South 60. This kind of flood of traffic creates an architect's nightmare. It will be a real challenge to make a space as open as West Texas feel like Times Square. The Victory Center is, I guess, a successful example. But, with no AACenter do you really believe that space wouldn't/couldn't have been developed otherwise? There we will get little tax benefit. Perhaps we got Dick's and Blues.
Jerry, what the (expletive) happened? Romo (expletive) sucks big ol (expletive)(expletive)(expletive)!!! Oh well, back to the (expletive) drawing board. ......and now we know why San Diego fired (expletive) Wade "The (expletive)" Phillips.
Maybe we're just a little (expletive) sick of the Cowboys' shenanigans and insistence on throwing away the best shot at success they've had in a long time. Yeah, Jerry....ask yourself that question. What the (expletive) is going on here?!
I find Lufkin to be a charming place. Where else can you see a gay get beat up in a nice wholesome atmosphere?

JJ may not be the most likeable guy in town, but to suggest Arlington made a mistake when it ponied up 300 mil to land the Cowboys (the most valuable & high profile team in the country) is pretty far the fuck out there. Run over there and take a look at the stadium and infrastructure surrounding it. The city of Arlington will recover their investment quickly. Over the course of the next 30 years, there's no telling how much cash that stadium will generate. Laura Miller, WTF were you thinking?
Speaking as a true Philly sports fan, I choose to boo everyone on both teams. But I'd love the Cowflops to lose if for no other reason than to slap Jerry for wanting people to fork over tax dollars for a stadium and team that nobody can afford to see. That Arlington was stupid enough to do so is another matter. They deserve another set of slaps for thinking that a 1 billion investment where Jerry's Kids get most of the money is actually going to work out for them. How much are those PSL's going for again? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!1!!!
