We've spent the last way too long looking for our DSpot; no luck, damndamndamn it. But we do know where John Crawford's DSpot is, if nothing else: On Friday, via GlobeSt.com, we learned that Crawford and his DowntownDallas organization is moving out of its old digs -- in Center City Plaza, formerly the Adolphus Tower, on Main Street -- and taking over an entire floor of the JPMorgan Chase Tower on Ross Avenue. Seems the DSpotters needed an extra 4,000 square feet -- not to mention the sizable amenities available to renters in the Chase Tower, chief among them the Dallas Petroleum Club. You can take a sneak peek at their new digs on the 46th floor -- at least, the layout, nice. They get their own piece of the hole and everything. Lucky. --Robert Wilonsky

Does anyone know who's currently occupying the top (54th) floor? I used to work there, and the views are spectacular (well, for Dallas) but it's not a pleasant place to be on hot, sunny days, due to the glass roof.

Romero was a level designer, not really a coder. Once he started believing his own myth, and spending more time being a rock star game god than doing actual work, it was all downhill from there. The amount of money Ion Storm pissed away on ill-conceived gimmicks and luxuries was ridiculous. The DO cover story only scratched the surface.

What;s with the confusion with DSpot? Isn't it just your favorite Downtown place to go? I don't see why people make fun of it, at least someone is marketing Downtown with all that's going on there. And hey, looks like they accomplished something, people are still talking about it almost two years later. Whether good or bad, PR is PR.

a) thats the most expensive office building in Dallas to rent space in, at least it was last year when I was looking for some acreage. It came out to something like $35 a square foot.

b) The property managers there are insane. Actually certifiable. If I could only post some of the stories i've heard without being sued....
