Mavs Dancers Party at Ghostbar -- Let the Regular Season Commence!
Last night, as the regular crowd of 30K millionaires queued up outside a W Hotel decked out in bouncers and velvet ropes, five Dallas Maverick dancers sported their game-day unis: hot pants, hooker boots and bra-shirts covered with sparkles. The occasion: the Mavs Dancers calendar release party, just across the street from their home court.
“That is soooo cool!” one of the dancers said, in a tone both squeaky and shrill. She was talking about the blown-up photos from the calendar, which hung on the wall behind them. The girls, the five who got there early and the dozen-plus late arrivals greeted with long-lost howls by their spangled sisters, posed for a group photo, shouted, “Go Mavs!!” and whooshed upstairs to Ghostbar.
They all didn't get their own page, awww, but do not pity those dancers like Deleah Caro, who “unfortunately didn’t get a month,” but did, like, make the group photo. (Because who didn't?) And that, like, was “really fun … more than I ever expected!” Much like last night itself, which lasted till the wee small hours of this morning.
