Perched at No. 25 on Inc. magazine's annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. is a locally based online retailer with which you're probably familiar, if'n you're into good deals cleverly crafted. Yup, it's Carrollton-based Woot, which ranks as both the very fastest-growing retailer in the country and the No. 1 fastest-growing private company in the DFW. Woot pulled in $117.4 million in '07 -- up a whole bunch from the '04 income of $2.3 million. And, notes Woot's Jason Toon on the company blog, in the issue hitting stands today "the Inc. people thought enough of us to devote a couple of pages to an interview with our CEO and Dear Leader, Matt Rutledge, complete with a portrait of Matt relaxing with one of his robot pals."
