Ex-BaD Radio Intern Mike Bacsik Finds New Way to Kill Time in the Minors

Categories: Sports

Back in May, ESPN noted that Duncanville High School grad and former Ticket intern Mike Bacsik is toiling away in the minors, after having become a footnote in history following his serving up home run No. 756 to Barry Bonds exactly one year ago. Today, Sports Illustrated plays catch-up with the lefty, noting that he's found a new way to keep himself occupied during his stint with the Columbus Clippers of the International League: He's playing bulletin-board baseball trivia with his teammates, who he quizzes "with pages of stats, records and major league award winners" pulled from here. Says Bacsik of his own place in the record books: "Even to be on the wrong side of a moment like that, it's definitely a talking point." --Robert Wilonsky
