• never has a .500 team generated such hype. My, how you all have been sucked in. Take a step back, wipe your eyes, and realize these are the Texas Rangers. The embarrassing, pathethic franchise that is STILL going nowhere.

• Don't forget the Red Sox. They're ahead too. But I've watched enough Rangers baseball this year to know not to count them out. And yes, only one of the White Sox and Twins matters.

• In the many years that I have followed the Rangers, this is easily my favorite team. No matter the record, This has been the most exciting season so far. I hope this is truly building to something great.

• Those standings are incorrect. Min and Chi are currently tied for the AL Central lead, so they are both showing up on the Wild Card standings. Only one of them would be relevant to the Wild Card race. Just thought I'd point that out.

• And the worst ERA in MLB. That in itself is their biggest hurdle. Forget the other teams.
